Kilburn's work appeared in popular periodicals such as Gleason's Pictorial. His business partners included Richard P. Mallory (Kilburn & Mallory)〔Boston Directory. 1852〕〔American Broadsides and Ephemera, Series 1, no. 27665〕 and Henry C.
